10 AI Prompts to Improve Your Email Marketing Skills & Results

Firstly, what is a prompt?

Quickly becoming a universal term in marketing, a prompt is a request that you ask of your AI tool, such as ChatGPT. Think of it as a brief that you’re asking of a colleague. Naturally, everyone does this in different styles but the clearest briefs usually result in the best and fastest outcomes. The same is applicable with prompts! Let’s explore how brands create prompts that result in revenue-generating outcomes for your business.

Where and when should I use prompts in email marketing?

For marketers, ChatGPT and other AI tools use prompts to help generate content at rapid speed and assist in areas such as analysis and brainstorming to make your workflow more efficient. Plus, by tailoring the request it can also assist with customer segmentation, journey mapping, and even predictive content recommendations. Whilst there are similar tools on the market, ChatGPT is the most well known, being used by over 90% of Fortune 500 companies.

Adopting a prompting framework for email

Enchant uses an AI prompt framework called RISEN to provide the most accurate and effective outcomes for a project. Let’s see what RISEN stands for:

Role - Acting like a certain person
Instructions - Making the task specific and clear
Steps - How you want the task to be delivered
End goal - Exactly what we want to see from the answer
Narrowing - Give the AI some constraints

For example, when using AI for copywriting:

Instead of: Write me some email copy promoting a new £20 set of earrings

Try: Act as an email marketing copywriter of a jewellery business targeting female Gen Z subscribers who value boldly designed yet affordable jewellery. Start with a short, punchy headline promoting a new £20 set of earrings. Then provide 3 bullet point reasons that make their design special, which are their quality, bold design and price point. Make sure the total copy is between 100-150 words.

Now, let’s dive into some prompts you can start using today for your marketing!

Prompt for building automations
